About Highest-Paid TV Actresses 2011

DESPERATE Housewives stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria are set to pocket $28 million each to stay with the hit show for another two years the Daily Mail reports.

News of their eight figure pay cheque reportedly comes after months of behind-the-scenes negotiations for the stars of Wisteria Lane and show’s producers.

“We had to get the girls back. The show simply earns too much money to stop making it,” a source told the UK newspaper.

The staggering pay rise, which works out at $390,000 per episode will make the foursome the highest paid actresses on US TV.

But, they’ve got a way to go to catch up to many of their male counterparts. Charlie Sheen took home $1.2 million per episode during his final season on Two and A Half Men, while Frasier star Kelsey Grammar raked in $1.6 million per episode making him the highest paid actor in TV history.
