About Glenn Danzig

Glenn Danzig, born on 23rd June 1955, is a world renowned singer, musician, songwriter and an entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of $6.5 Million. Born in New Jersey, he has earned his fame and fortune by performing as a musician and as a singer. He is the owner of the Evilive Company, and also owns an adult publishing company that comes out with adult comic books called Verotik. Glenn’s wealth comes from these sources as well.

Born to a protestant family, his father was a United States Marine Corps (USMC). His mother worked at a small record store. Glenn was into music from a very early age. He was greatly influenced by Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath in his early years.

He learned to play the guitar all by himself because of his interest in music. Glenn performed for many local bands such as Boojang, Talus and Whodat. Danzig started his band in the 1970s. It was named ‘Misfits’. However it failed and so later, he created a new band titled ‘Samhain’ whose theme is greatly borrowed from Halloween. His main genres are deathrock, gothic, classical and industrial doom, which can be compared to Mikael Akerfeldt.

Glenn has also appeared in minor roles in movies and TV shows. He portrayed the role of a fallen angel in the movie “The Prophecy II”. He was also auditioned for the role of Wolverine in the hit movie “X-Men” but declined the offer due to the unavailability of dates in his schedule.

Danzig has always been in the media for his justification of certain Satanist ideologies. He is known for his ever increasing obsession with erotic, sexual, gothic and religious themes. He is also planning to release an animated film on his Satanika comic series.
