George was The Second City alumnus. He found this out just after leaving college. He met the woman who was to become his wife at Second City. She is Bernadette Birkett. She played Cliff's Halloween date at Cheers (the third season), and she also went on to play the voice of Vera who was Norm's wife later. He performed in the movie from 1980 “My Bodyguard” playing a handyman who is seen behind a check-in counter of Chicago’s Ambassador East Hotel (which is now the Omni Ambassador East by the way). In 1981, George was seen as an exterminator in one episode of the television series “Taxi”. He performed as Private Mosconi in M*A*S*H in an episode in 1982. The role was however insignificant. He was seen with a pool ball stuck in the mouth almost throughout this episode.
