Frank Welker or Franklin Wendell was born on March 12th 1946. He is an American actor specialized in voice acting. Welker has a net worth of $15 million, which was earned from his successful voice acting career.

Frank has been one of the highest grossing actors in Hollywood since 2011, as he is able to complete many more films in so less time as compared to other performers. Welker was born in Denver, Colorado. He moved to California to attend the Santa Monica City College from where he learned theatrical arts. He earned his first ever award for acting as the cowardly lion in his college’s 1966 production of “The Wizard of Oz”. Frank started to work while he was still a college student. His first ever voice project was for an advertisement for dog food.

Later, he auditioned for Scooby Doo’s Hanna-Barbera but instead got the role of Fred Jones. Welker first appeared on screen in a fight scene in a Stan Dragoti film – Dirty Little Billy which opened in the year 1972. Next, he appeared in Trouble with Girls, How to Frame a Figg, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, and Now You See Him, Now You Don’t.

Welker debuted as Fred Jones of Scooby Doo in 1969 which marked the beginning of his voice career. Followed by this, in 1973, he gave his voice to Marvin White in a Hanna Barbera series. All through the 1980s and 1990s, he gave his voice to numerous cartoon characters such as Doctor Claw, Mister Mxyzptlk, various G.I. Joe heroes, Ray Stantz, Slimer, Dr. Jeremiah Surd and Hefty Smurf. In 1980’s, he lends his voice to many characters of Transformers.
