Eugene Levy is a Canadian writer and actor – he was born in 1946. It has been estimated that Levy’s net worth is a cool $18 million. He had Jewish parents and was born in Ontario. His mother was a housewife and father worked at an automobile plant.
Levy studied at the McMaster University and was the Vice President of the film board in the college where he encountered with filmmaker Ivan Reitman. He often played characters with unusual characteristics and nerdy traits. Some of the celebrities whom he has impersonated are Howard Cosell, Menachem Begin, Tony Dow, Lorne Greene, Ernest Borgnine and Howard McNear. His acting in the movie “Mighty Wind” won him lots of appreciation for his role of a brain-damaged folk singer. The accolades included Satellite Award for the Best Supporting Actor and New York Film Critics Appreciation for the Best Supporting Actor. Levy has also performed in several comedies like Club Paradise, Splash, Stay Tuned and Multiplicity. He was the creator of the TV serial Maniac Mansion.
He has earned this wealth from his television shows and movies, both in the US and in Canada. He is also the only star to have starred in all the eight American Pie films. The roles in these series have helped him develop as an actor and gain an appreciation for his work.
In 2002, he won the Canadian Comedy Awards for the Pretty Funny Male performance in American Pie 2. He is married to television writer, Deborah Divine and has two children. His son used to earlier host Canada’s MTV live and his daughter is a student of theatre.
