Jeffrey Townes, also known as DJ Jazzy Jeff or very simply as Jazz, is a well known American hip hop DJ and lead actor who holds a net worth of $8.5 million.

He was born on January 22nd 1965. Jazzy attended the Philadelphia School of John Bartram High School. His name has been enshrined at the school’s ‘Wall of Fame’.

Growing up, Jazzy developed a high reputation and a great fan following as a party DJ within Block and Schools. He was also featured in many duo starrers. As part of his career, he has won the World Championship of DJ in 1986 – Music Seminar DJ battle. All these have constituted to the fame and wealth he has today.

Years later, Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff parted ways, although they remained close friends. DJ Jazzy Jeff is considered to be one of the richest DJs in the world today. From the beginning of 2011, DJ Jazzy Jeff is working with Mac Miller, the Pittsburgh-rapper on his tape “92 Til the Infinity”, which Townes will be himself hosting. As part of his career performances, Jeffrey Townes has won recognition all over the world. He has also won many rewards for the classy music hip hops he has produced.

Over the years, Jeffrey has come out with several singles and albums that have gone on to break many records. With each achievement, his fame and wealth has grown.
