English screenwriter and filmmaker, Guy Ritchie has a net worth of $150 million. As one of Britain's top film directors, Ritchie earned $13.5 million in 2010 according to the Vanity Fair List of Hollywood's highest earners. It was the success of his ninth film, Sherlock Holmes, that pushed up his earnings: released in 2009 it grossed more than $498m worldwide. But the Hatfield-born is still perhaps best known for his eight-year marriage to Madonna which ended in late 2008. The divorce settlement included the couple's country estate Ashcombe House in Wiltshire along with a £4m townhouse, their pub, and a £3m property in New York. The real size of the settlement was put at between £39m and £46m. But Ritchie, a successful film director in his own right, should have built up his own fortune over the years. His first feature film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 proved a critical and commercial success, earning him £9m. His two film companies Ska Films and Ska Films Diamonds made £1.45 million profit in 2010.
