Darude is a Finish trance producer and DJ who has an estimated net worth of $12 million - most of which was acquired from this works in the music industry.

Darude is the stage name of Toni-Ville Henrik Virtanen who was born in the  Finnish village of Hinnerjoki in Eura on July 17, 1975. He began his music career as an amateur musician while in high school. He started using PC’s tracker software to produce his music, and then moved on to more serious production techniques with his music having a progressive/uplifting style

In 1999, Darude released his first single "Sandstorm" and it gained a platinum certification. A year after, he released his debut album Before the Storm and sold 800,000 copies worldwide. He earned three Finnish Grammy Awards as the album peaked at number one on Finland's Official List and number 6 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the United States. His second album, released three years later, reached number 11 on the Billboard dance chart in 2003 number 4 on weekly album chart in Finland.

By 2007, Darude released his third album Label This! He then co-founded  the record label EnMass Music in 2011 and has released a number of mix compilations related to his radio show Salmiakki Sessions. He also performed at various festivals, including the tenth anniversary of Tomorrowland in 2014 and Future Music Festival in 2015. His fourth album Moments and he went on tour in the United States and Canada.
