Axwell is a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer and record label owner who has an estimated net worth of $10 million. He is one of the three members of what was once the Swedish House Mafia together with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. In 2011, he ranked 23rd in the Top 100 DJ Poll by DJ Magazine.

Axel Christofer Hedfors was born on December 18, 1977 in Lund, Sweden. As a child, he was already into musical instruments and had taught himself to play the drums at a very young age. During his early teens, he already became interested in electronic music and began working on computer-generated music at the age of thirteen.

In 2004, Mr. Hedfors scored his first #1 dance hit with the track "Feel the Vibe (‘Til the Morning Comes)". Since then, he has enjoyed several successful collaborations such as his very successful pairing with Isabel Frutuoso. Since 2002, the music partners have released three hit tracks as Mambana.

Throughout the mid-2000's, Axwell has toured and released albums with the Swedish super-trio called Swedish House Mafia. In 2012, has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. Recently, he released a new single called "Center of the Universe".
