Stephen Fry is an English media personality with an estimated net worth of $30 million. He has served as an actor, author, screenwriter, journalist, presenter, and activist, although he is best known for his work in comedy. Fry was expelled from two schools and sentenced to three months in prison before being accepted to Queen's College in Cambridge to study literature. Fry met and befriended Hugh Laurie there and went on to produce A Bit of Fry & Laurie with him. Fry has lent his talents to dozens of successful movies and video games and serves as a guest or presenter in many television and radio programs.

Fry got started in media when he worked with Laurie, Emma Thompson and Tony Slattery to write a comedy revue called The Cellar Tapes. Off of its success, Thompson, Laurie and Fry were hired to star in what is now Alfresco. After failing to launch a science fiction 'mockumentary' called The Crystal Cube, Fry and Laurie created the sketch show A Bit of Fry & Laurie which was highly successful and met with critical acclaim.
