Damon Wayans is one of the most successful stand-up American comedians with a net worth of $35 million. He accumulated his net worth through acting in films and in the well known TV series, My Wife and Kids and also for his performances as a stand-up comedian.

Born in New York City, Damon had a clubbed foot as a child. He attended Murry Bergtraum High School and started doing stand-up comedy in 1982. In 1984 he first appeared in a film as a hotel employee in Beverly Hills Cop. He was on Saturday Night Live for a short period of time but was fired as he went against the script during the live performance.

He also appeared in the TV show Living Color from 1990 to 1992 and was nominated or Emmy Awards for all three years. In 1996 he produced a cartoon for WB, Waynehead. In 2006 he hosted the BET awards at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. He was married to Lisa Thorner and one of their four children, Damon Wayans Jr appeared on the comedy series, The Underground.
