Sir Paul Hewson, known by his stage name Bono, is the lead singer of the famous rock group U2. With a net worth of $600 million, he is widely regarded as one of the most famous and influential frontmen in music. Bono became famous for being the lead singer in Irish rock band U2. The band quickly conquered America and the world with influential albums such as War, The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby and All That You Can't Leave Behind. To this date U2 is one of the most successful rock bands Ireland as produced, selling 150 million records worldwide. As well as his work in U2, Bono is renowned for his activism concerning Africa, found DATA, Project Red, EDUN and the One Campaign which all go towards providing aid to impoverished people in Africa. Bono has also proven himself as a successful businessman by being the managing director of Elevation Partners and co-owning The Clarence Hotel in Dublin with bandmate The Edge.
