Ben Folds is an American songwriter and singer with an estimated net worth of $20 million. He has accumulated his net worth from the band, Ben Folds Five that plays alternative rock music. He was born with the name Benjamin Scott Folds on September 12, 1966 in Guilford, North Carolina. However, he became popular as Ben Folds, even performing as a solo artist and toured all over the world, when his band would be facing a low and disbanded temporarily. Huge experiments in songwriting by collaborations with legendary musicians like Regina Spektor, William Shatner and Weird Al Yankovic led to Fold's glory. He has also undertaken experimental songwriting projects with authors such as Nick Hornby and Neil Gaiman.

Ben was the pianist as well as the front man in Ben Folds Five. He also wrote all the lyrics for the songs that the band recorded. Not only for the band but he also worked by composing music for animated films like Hoodwinked and Over the Hedge. He then produced the first solo album of Amanda Palmer. He also served as the judge of the a cappella singing contest The Sing-Off between 2009 and 2013 on NBC. Currently, he is employed as Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
