Armand Assante is an American actor with a net worth of $16 million. He performed as a Cuban bandleader in the Mambo Kings, from which he has earned his wealth and fame. It was an adaptation of a science fiction story by Judge Dredd.

In the 1970’s, Assante worked in two NBC soap operas, How to Survive a Marriage and The Doctors. His first appearance in a film was in The Lords of The Flatbush. He caught people’s eyes in the movie Private Benjamin where he acted as a handsome Frenchman who falls in love with a U.S. soldier. Some of his other noticeable roles  were in the movies I, the Jury, The Marrying Man and Hoffa, where he won a Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a movie. He had played different roles, but his tough person look was the reason why he got to play the sinister roles. Recently, he appeared with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe in the 2007 movie The American Gangster. He received a star on the Italian Walk of Fame in 2010 in Toronto.

Assante was born in New York City on October 4, 1949, and was raised in Cornwall. He is the son of Katherine and Armand Assante Sr., who were music teacher and painter by profession, respectively. His mother was Irish while his father was Italian. He was married to Karen McAm from 1982 to 1994. He has two daughters Anya and Alessandra.
