Anthony Edwards is a US director and actor with a net worth of $40 million. He was born in California and is the son of a landscape painter and an architect. His parents always encouraged him to complete his studies before pursuing his dream of acting. He got a scholarship to study drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in the UK, and later went to the University of Southern California.

However, when he was 19, he had enough reasons to quit college as he was offered several acting roles. The first proper role that Edwards received was when he starred in the comedy movie “Revenge of the Nerds” in 1984. His role alongside Tom Cruise in the 1986 movie “Top Gun” earned him worldwide fame and recognition. It went on to become a huge success. In 1988, he portrayed the character of a terminally ill patient in “Hawks”, which also earned him many praises. Anthony’s till date best role has been that of Dr. Greene in the longest-running television show “ER”. He was there in the first episode in 1994 and performed in the television show to the end of the 8th season in 2002.

This series also gave him the chance to direct. It was reported that he had earned around $35,000,000 for the three seasons on ER. This has made him one of the highest paid TV actors till now.

Even though Anthony Edwards has been nominated four times for the daytime Emmy awards, but he hasn’t won any till now. In 1994, he married Jeanine Lobell. The couple has one son and three daughters from the union. He left ER so that he could spend more quality time with his wife and children.
