Adam Duritz  has an estimated net worth of $40 million. He is an American musician, record and film producer as well as a songwriter. Born Adam Fredric Duritz on August 1, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland, he first sang for San Francisco Bay Area bands, such as Mod-L Society and Sordid Humor, a college rock band, before gaining his celebrity status.

Adam provided vocals for David Immergluck in the 1990s with production of the album by David Bryson. He later formed a band, The Himalayans with Bryson. He collaborated with many musicians on various albums. The musicians include: The Wall flowers, Nanci Griffith, Peter Stuart and the band Dashboard Confessionals, among others.

In 1997, he co-founded a record label, E Pluribus Unum where he signed Joe 90 and Gigolo Aunts. The label was later purchased by Interscope records. Apart from music, he produced films which include Burn in 1998 and The locust in 1997. Duritz appeared in film Farce of the Penguins in 2007 and Freeloaders in 2011.

Duritrz is best known as the frontman for the rock band Counting Crows, of which he is a founding member and principal compose. His skills for scoring music for film has been recognized by the music industry, notably with an award for co-writing the song Accidentally in Love for the movie Shrek 2 from BMI. His lyrics have been described as "morose" and "tortured" and as "wordy introspection" and his vocals "expressive."
