She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a police drama on NBC as Melinda Warner. In 2012, she appeared in the film Flight as Margaret Thomason.

Tamara Renee Tunie was born on March 14, 1959 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, USA. Tunie attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre. She was previously married to Greg Bouquett. Since 1995, she has been married to Gregory Generet.
