Paula Jai Parker is an American actress and comedian.

Paula Jai Parker landed a place on the FOX comedy program "The Apollo Comedy Hour," and it was filmed live at the Apollo Theater, but she left after a year to pursue a film career.

She returned to television in 1995 in the WB television series The Wayans Brothers, and also appeared in several shows such as The Weird Al Show and David E. Kelley's Snoops.

Between television projects, she appeared in numerous films such as Million Man March, the docudrama Get on the Bus, Sprung, Why Do Fools Fall in Love?, 30 Years to Life, Cover and She Hate Me.

In 2000, Parker lendt her voice to the character of Trudy Proud in the popular animated series The Proud Family.

Parker was also featured in the television series Touched by an Angel as she portrayed the role of Billie Holiday on the episode entitled "God Bless the Child".

Meanwhile, Parker appeared in music video Rome's "I Belong to You" and 50 Cent's Follow My Lead". In 1999, she made a cameo appearance in the music video "I Really Like It" with Tracy Bingham and Tia and Tamera Mowery. In 2001, she appeared in the music video for "Girls, Girls, Girls," by rapper and business mogul Jay-Z.

Paula Jai Parker was born on August 19, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. She studied at Howard University. She is married to Forrest Martin and has one son.
