Noomi Rapace is a Swedish actress best known for portraying the role of Lisbeth Salander in the Millenium Series' Danish and Swedish film adaptations. The Millenium Series is comprised of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She is also noted for her appearance on film projects such as Beyond, The Monitor, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Prometheus and Dead Man Down.

Noomi Rapace was born on December 28, 1979 in Hudiksvall, Sweden. She is capable of speaking in Swedish, English, Norwegian, Icelandik and Danish. From 2001 through 2011, she was married to Ola Rapace.

Her appearance on Daisy Diamond as Anna won her a Bodil Award for Best Actress and Robert Award for Best Actress in 2007. Her participation in the Millenium Series won her the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress, Nymphe d’Or for Best Actress in a TV-Mini-Series, Nymphe d’Or for Best Actress, New York Film Critics Online Award for Breakthrough Performer, Empire Award for Best Actress and Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama category.
