Marcia Wallace started her career in acting when she is a performer in a Greenwich Village nightclub.

Then after a year, she and her friends formed a group, The Fourth Wall. She appeared in several improvisational shows After her stint doing improvisational shows, she began working Off-Broadway. She was a semi-regular on The Merv Griffin Show.

Then, she received a phone call from producer Grant Tinker, and offered a role on The Bob Newhart Show.

After the said series ended in 1978, she appeared in Hollywood Squares,Password Plus,  Super Password, Whew!, Crosswits, Hot Potato, Body Language, The $25,000 Pyramid, Double Talk, Win, Lose or Draw, To Tell the Truth and Match Game as a game show panelist.

She did cameo appearances in several TV series which includes ALF, Bewitched, Murphy Brown, Charles In Charge, Murder, She Wrote, Magnum, P.I., and A Different World.

Marcia Karen Wallace was born on November 1, 1942 in Creston, Iowa. She attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa wherein she took up English and Theater. She passed away on October 25, 2013.
