Jeannette Dubois is professionally known as Ja'net Dubois. She is an American dancer, actress, and singer–songwriter. DuBois is famous for her portrayal of Willona Woods on the CBS sitcom Good Times. It aired originally from 1974 to 1979. She also co–wrote and sang the sitcom The Jeffersons' theme song that originally aired from 1975 until 1985.

Television producer Norman Lear first saw Dubois in a Lanford Wilson play. It was called The Hot l Baltimore at the Mark Taper Forum. This show led to her casting in the 1974-1979 CBS comedy series Good Times. DuBois made the album Again in 1983. DuBois also appeared in previous Good Times co-star Janet Jackson's 1987 "Control" music video. In the year 1992, she co-starred with Clifton Davis in And I Still Rise. It is a play directed and written by Maya Angelou. Dubois won the CableACE Award for her work on the TV movie, Other Women's Children. It has a basis on the novel by Perri Klass. She also received two Emmy Awards for her voiceover work on the animation program The PJs (1999). She co-starred in the films Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988). She appeared on television in The Steve Harvey Show, A Different World, Moesha, and The Wayans Bros.
