Downtown Julie Brown is an English actress and former MTV video jockey who has an estimated net worth of $5 million. Born on August 27, 1959 in Bedfordshire, England, Julie Dorne Brown began her career when she won the UK Disco Dancing Championships. She then went on to win the World Disco Dancing Championship in 1997. Right after, she started a career in British television as a presenter as well as a guest on several children’s program such as the long-running entertainment show Crackerjack.

Brown became a presenter on pan-European music channel Music Box. She then became famous as an MTV VJ during the 80's and 90's. She also hosted the Club MTV show in the late 80's which is similar to American Bandstand. It focused on the club hits during that time.

After MTV, Miss Brown had a short stint for ESPN. In 1998, she posed for Playboy and has made cameos in various movies and television shows. Recently, on July 21, 2013, she appeared in television’s Wife Swap.

Julie Dorne Brown got married in 2001 to Martin Schuermann. He is the current CEO of Vision Motor Corporation and a former movie producer.
