Moseley has always had a passion for acting and began his acting way before he was a teenager. One of his first roles was Forrester in Goodbye, Mr. Chips in 2002 and he later got a role in Cider with Rosie cast by Pippa Hall. This was to serve as his breakthrough as just seven years later she was the one who proposed him to be cast in the role of Peter Pevensie in the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the With and the Wardrobe (2005).

In 2006, William completed his A levels in Media Studies, English and Drama and then went to study acting under the guidance of Sheila Gray at the Gleeson's gym in Brooklyn New York. This was in preparation for the shooting of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008).

After his success with the Chronicles of Narnia, William was quoted saying that despite his great success with the movie he hopes that he won't just be viewed as 'Peter Penvensie' but instead will grow into a great and all rounded actor who is respected.

He also auditioned for the role of Harry Potter.

Currently, William Moseley is planned to shoot the movie, A Great Education, with starlet Emma Roberts.
