He was born Sage Moonblood Stallone on May 5, 1976 in Los Angeles, California, USA to Sasha Czack and Sylvester Stallone. He was a 1993 graduate of Montclair Preparatory School in Van Nuys, California. He later attended North Carolina School of the Arts and studied film making for one year.

Stallone began his career in the entertainment industry as a child. He had a guest appearance on Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling through his grandmother, who promoted the series. He made his acting debut in 1990 alongside his father in Rocky V. He also appeared with his father in Daylight in 1996.

In the same year, Sage and film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles-based company that aims to restore and preserve exploitation films and B-movies. He directed his first short film, Vic, which earned him a 2006 Boston Film Festival Best New Filmmaker award.

Stallone’s last projects included an appearance in the last two films, Promises Written in Water and The Agent by Vincent Gallo. Both were shown in the main competition at the 2010 Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Sage Stallone was married to Starlin Wright in 2007, though that was annulled in 2008. On July 13, 2012, he was found dead in his home in Studio City, Los Angeles, due to coronary artery disease.
