Reginald VelJohnson is an American film, stage and television actor who has an estimated net worth of $5 million. Born Reginald Vel Johnson on August 16, 1952 in Queens, New York, he attended Benjamin N. Cardozo High School where he was classmates with George Tenet and Ron Jeremy. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.

VelJohnson is best known for his role as Carl Winslow in the Family Matters sitcom. He was the only cast member to have appeared on every single episode of the show. He is also known to portray the roles of police officers in films and television. He was LAPD Sgt. Al Powell in the film Die Hard (1988) and its sequel Die Hard 2 (1990).
