Hodder is best known for playing the role of Jason Voorhees in four films in the Friday the 13th film series: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, and Jason X.

Kane also played the role of horror icon Leatherface through the stunt work of the 1990 film Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. He has appeared in an episode of The Arsenio Hall Show in order to promote Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan in a costume as Jason. He appeared as Freddy Krueger’s gloved hand at the close of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday in anticipation for Freddy vs. Jason.

Kane Hodder was replaced by Canadian stuntman Ken Kirzinger in the 2003 film Freddy vs. Jason. He starred as the main character Victor Crawley in the slasher film Hatchet, a similar story to that of Jason Voorhees.
