Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor, producer, director and screenwriter. He was born in 1954. He has a net worth of $100 million. Kamal is among the most versatile of all Indian actors.

He was born in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Son of a criminal lawyer, his father always wanted his children to study well in their life. Kamal did everything but study. Nonetheless, he is known for his acting prowess. He has won many accolades for his contribution to Indian cinema, which include 4 National Film awards and 19 Filmfare Awards. His elder brother and niece have both won the national award like him.

His splendid acting, choreography, song-writing has earned him the wealth of $100 million. His own film production company has produced many of his films. In the year 1990, he was awarded with the Padma Shree because of his great contribution to Indian cinema. In 2009, Kamal was also among the very few actors to be awarded for successfully completing 50 years in cinema. Kamal Hassan made his debut as a child actor in 1960. In later life of course, he moved more into direction and production, though he acts even today. Quentin Tarantino, the director has admitted that the much talked about animation-action sequence in “Kill Bill” was inspired from Aalavandhan, a Kamal Haasan movie.

His personal life has been marred by many failed relationships. He lived with Sarika from 1988, and agreed to marry her only after the birth of her second child. Sarika took a break from acting after her marriage with Kamal Haasan. However, they decided to split and filed for divorce in 2002. The reason for the divorce was later known to be intimacy with co-star Simran Bagga.
