Greg Proops is an American actor, stand-up comedian and television host with an estimated net worth of $2 million. He was born on October 3, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and raised in San Carlos, California. He went to the College of San Mateo, where he spearheaded the comedy duo “Props & Bakerman.” He later attended San Francisco State University and took courses in improvisation and acting.

After college, Proops joined an improv group with Mike McShane, and together they impressed Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson. Together, they appeared on both the British and American versions of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. Since then, he has appeared on several shows, such as the short-lived Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show and the series Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza, which premiered in April 2011 on GSN. It also featured several other members of Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Greg Proops started hosting while serving as a guest commentator on a number of shows, including Space Cadets, Mock of the Week and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He is also a voice actor who provided voices for projects such as Striperella, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Bob the Builder, Brother Bear, Asterix and the Vikings, Dennis and Gnasher.

Proops had guest starring and starring appearances on Mock the Week, A Good Opportunity on the second season of Flight of the Conchords, Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Easy to Assemble. He currently plays a recurring role on True Jackson, VP, hosts Odd News on Yahoo!, and hosts a bi-weekly radio program.
