Edward Kirk Hermann was born on July 21, 1943 in Washington, D.C. USA. He graduated in 1965 at Bucknell University and studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art on a Fulbright Fellowship. He married Star Hayner in 1992 and has three children.
