American Ty Monroe is an American rodeo cowboy who has an estimated net worth of $12 million. Born Ty Monroe Murray on October 11, 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona, he was taught rodeo fundamentals by his father and mother. At the age of two, he already wanted to be a rodeo champion. He became the All-Around Champion Cowboy with the Arizona High School Rodeo Association. The team made their first National High School Rodeo Association Championship in 1987.

Murray was nicknamed King of the Cowboys, Superman in Boots, and The Michael Jordan of Professional Rodeo. At the age of 18, he had already joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. According to the Guinness Book of Records, he was the youngest PRCA All-Around Rodeo Cowboy. He is also the seven-time winner of the World All-Around Rodeo Champion in 1989-1994 and 1998. He won the PRCA World Bull Ring Championship title in 1993 and 1998. He was inducted into the Rodeo Hall of fame of the Rodeo Historical Society in 1989. In 2000, he was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Cowboy Capitol Walk of Fame along with Walt Garrison.
