James Blake was born on December 28th 1979 in Yonkers, New York. He is a professional tennis player with a net worth of $8 million.

James has earned his wealth by performing well on the tennis court. He has co-written his biography which made it to the New York Times bestseller list. James has made good money from this as well. He is well known for his flat powerful forehand and his speed. His career high singles ranking is World No. 4. However subsequently, his ATP ranking fell to World No. 121 because of injury issues and indifferent performances. He has made 24 career finals appearances. When he was 21 years old, James participated in his first Davis Cup action against India – with this, he became the third African-American to play for the United States in the Davis Cup.

He reached the final of the 2006 Tennis Masters Cup. Blake also reached the semifinals of Beijing Olympics and the quarter finals of the US Open in 2005 and 2006, and Australia Open in 2008. He won two titles for the United States at the Hopman Cup, an event record. In 2005, he was awarded by the ATP – he was named the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year. His autobiography “Breaking Back: How I Lost Everything and Won Back My Life” discussed his comeback after the 2004 unlucky season. It debuted at #22 on New York Times bestseller list. He co-wrote the book along with Andrew Friedman.

Blake likes to play basketball and golf as well. He appeared in People Magazine’s, Sexiest Man Alive issue. James married Emily Snider at a beach wedding. They have a daughter Riley Elizabeth who was born on June 2012.
