Portuguese professional football (soccer) player Ricardo Quaresma has an estimated net worth of $40 million. He earned his net worth while playing football for Al Ahli Dubai and the Portuguese national team. He was born Ricardo Andrade Quaresma Bernardo on September 26, 1983, in Lisbon, Portugal and of partial Romani descent. He started his career at the Sporting Clube de Portugal. While he was a trainee at Sporting’s famed academy, he made his professional debut during the 2000-01 season and played 15 games for the B squad. He was promoted to the senior squad the following season by then club manager Laszlo Boloni. He played 28 games and scored three goals while he was the key player in the league and cup double triumph.
Quaresma was sold to FC Barcelona for a reported €6 million fee and the loan of Fabio Rochemback. However, his stint with the Catalan side was described as unlucky. In the summer of 2004, he signed for FC Porto when they sold Deco. He scored in his debut game during the 2004 UEFA Super Cup and his lone goal led in their win against Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup.
On September 1, 2008, Ricardo Quaresma signed for Italian champions Internazionale with young Poortuguese midfielder Pele joined Porto. However, his time in Italy was also not considered a success. He was given the Bidone d’Oro award for the worst footballer in Serie A for 2008. He was also omitted in the squad for the knockout stage of the 2008-09 Champions League and this led to speculations of him leaving the club. By February 2, 2009, he signed on loan for Premier League club Chelsea until the end of the season. When his loan ended, he went back to Inter after he found it hard to place in the starting XI. He was handed the no. 7 shirt with the retirement of Luis Figo. By 2010, Ricardo Quaresma joined Besiktas J.K. in Turkey. He was released by the club on December 20, 2012 and he signed for Al Ahli of Dhubai for 18 months.
