Matthias Sammer is a retired German football player and coach with an estimated net worth of $10.8 million.

Matthias Sammer started his career in 1976 when he joined SG Dynamo Dresden, at the age of 9.  He became a member of its senior team under his father's management. During his stint with the team, Dresden won the East German championship during the 1988-89 season and DDR-Oberliga title in 1990.

He moved to VfB Stuttgart in 1990, and stayed with the team for two seasons. Sammer joined Italian club Internazionale during the 1992-1993 season. After his brief stint with the team, he transferred to Borussia Dortmund.

While with Dortmund, he led the team in winning the Champion League, two Bundesliga titles, and two DFB-Supercups. Upon retirement, Sammer became the head coach of Borussia Dortmund, VfB Stuttgart, and Bayern Munich. Eventually, he was appointed as technical director for German Football Association in 2006.

Matthias Sammer was born on September 5, 1967 in Dresden, East Germany. He is married with Karin and has three children.
