A famous football manager, Jose Mourinho, José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix in real life, served as the head coach of the Chelsea and Manchester United Football Clubs. This Portuguese football personality has a net worth of around $100 million.
Commonly referred to as “the Special One”, Mourinho is often referred by many players, critics and coaches, as one of the greatest football coaches of all time. Starting out as a player, Mourinho decided to quit and become a physical education teacher. Unfortunately, he didn’t last long as a teacher. He became a youth team scout, coach and assistant manager. Seeking for a greener pasture, he began his coaching career with União de Leiria and Benfica. As the head coach of Porto, he led the team to win the UEFA Cup, Taca de Portugal, and Primeira Liga in 2003. Again, he led the team to its victory in the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, where they brought home the UEFA Champions League, the highest honour given in European club football.
After signing a three-year contract with the Internazionale, he had his first Supercoppa Italiana and Serie A title. He is the third football manager to have won the UEFA Champions League with two different teams, the Ottmar Hitzfeld and Ernst Happel. He is also the first football manager to have won the three highest European league championships.
