Gerard Houllier is a French football manager who has managed several football clubs, including Liverpool, RC Lens, and Paris Saint-Germain.

With Liverpool, Houllier won the UEFA Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup in 2001. Currently, he serves as Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer. Originally from Thérouanne, Pas-de-Calais, France, Gérard Houllier was born on September 3, 1947.

He got a degree in English from Lille University, where he later dropped out due to his father's illness. From September 2010 through June 2011, Gerard Houllier managed Aston Villa. He was also the coach of the French national football team.

Since 1973, Houllier has worked as the manager of several clubs which include AC Le Touquet, Nœux-les-Mines, RC Lens, Paris Saint-Germain, France, France U18, France U20, Liverpool, Lyon and Aston Villa.
