When he was in college, Marcus Dupree was highly regarded by the Oklahoma University's football head coach because of his impressive football skills. In fact, his coach claimed that he was then ready to play for the NFL. In 1984, he signed with the New Orleans Breakers for the United States Football League.
In 1990, Dupree met Walter Payton who encouraged him to get back in shape and play in the NFL. He was signed by the Los Angeles Ram which had drafted him in 1986 in case he gets back in shape.
After his success in NFL, Dupree worked as a professional wrestler, casino greeter and he managed a sports bar. In February 2011, he began managing Mid South Wrestling, a pro wrestling promotion.
