Julian Edelman played for Woodside High School's football team. He recorded 2,237 yards and 29 touchdowns passing, with 964 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing. Upon entering college, he decided to join the Kent State Golden Flashes football team. During his tenure with the team, he was named as the Kent State University Offensive Player of the Year and a Second-team All-MAC in 2006.
