Carlos Dunlap played for Fort Dorchester Patriots football team. As a senior, he recorded 105 tackles and 24 quarterback sacks. He also participated at the first Offensive-Defensive All-American Bowl.
He received offers from Clemson Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Auburn Tigers, and the Tennessee Volunteers, but Dunlap chose to play for the Florida Gators. He was hailed as the defensive MVP during the BCS National Championship Game in 2009. After his junior year, he forewent his senior season and joined the NFL Draft instead.
