After attending Rockville High School, he went to Boston College where he graduated with academic honors and became a recipient of the Scanlan Award. After completing his degree from the university, Romanowski was selected as a third round pick by the San Francisco 49ers. Currently, he is married to Julie Legrand with whom he has two children.
