Wesley Matthews began his career while attending James Madison Memorial High School where he was hailed as Mr. Basketball in 2005.
In college, he played for the Marquette University's Golden Eagles basketball team. Matthews. He set a school record for field goal accuracy in 2009.
He was undrafted during the NBA Draft in 2009, but Matthews was invited to play for the Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz. He signed a one-year deal with the Jazz.
