Rafer Alston is a retired American professional basketball player who has an estimated net worth of $24 million.

Rafer Alston started his career at St. Jerome School and Benjamin Cardozo High School. He was a standout basketball player, and known for his nontraditional moves which was the inspiration for the AND1 Mixtape Tour appeared in 1999.

In college, he appeared for three seasons in Ventura College, Fresno City College,and California State University-Fresno. Alston entered the 1998 NBA Draft when he has selected as the second round, 39th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks.

He was traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2003. A year after, Alston moved to Miami Heat and emerged as a starter for one season. Other teams that he played for include the Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, and New Jersey Nets.

Alston returned to the Miami Heat for the second time in 2010. After starting for 25 games, he was suspended for missing out a practice and a game. A year later, he signed a contract with Chinese Basketball Association's Zhejiang Guangsha for the remainder of the season. It was reported that he left the team to attend his friend's funeral and told him not to return due to injury. He had a brief stint for NBA D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders in 2012.
