Lafayette Lever is a retired American professional basketball player with an estimated net worth of $6 million.
Lafayette Lever started his career when he played for the Pueblo High School's basketball team. In college, he became a member of the Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball team. He was named as an All-American Honorable Mention by the Associated Press, and Street and Smith's.
He was selected the first round, 11th overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers of the 1982 NBA Draft. Lever moved to Denver Nuggest in 1984. He was named as an All-NBA Second Team in 1987 and a member of NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1988.
When he was traded to Dallas Mavericks in 1990, he was sat out the entire 1992-93 season due to a knee injury. Lever finished his career with the team in 1994 with a career average of six rebounds, 6.2 assists, 13.9 points, and 2.22 steals per game.
