Hailed as one of the 50 greatest players in the history of National Basketball Association, Isiah Thomas is a retired professional basketball player who last played for the Detroit Pistons before his retirement. His net worth is estimated to be around $20 million.
A 12-time NBA All-Star, Thomas was also an inductee into Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He played collegiately at Indiana University. In 1981, he officially joined the NBA when he was selected by the Detroit Pistons as its 2nd overall pick for the 1981 NBA Draft. He was immediately signed by the Pistons to a four-year $1.6 million worth of contract.
Apart from being a professional basketball player, Isiah Thomas was also a broadcaster, basketball executive, and collegiate and professional coach. After his successful NBA career, he was hired by the Toronto Raptors and Continental Basketball Association as its executive. Later on, he became Indiana Pacers’ head coach and shortly, he was hired by the New York Knicks as head coach and executive.
