Grant Hill is a retired American professional basketball player which has an estimated net worth of $180 million.
Grant Hill started his journey as a basketball player when he joined Duke University's Blue Devils. He led the team in winning the 1991 and 1992 championship. In 1993, he received Henry Iba Corinthian Award as one of the best defensive player and ACC Player of the Year in 1994.
Hill was chosen by the Detroit Pistons during the NBA Draft in 1994. Along with Dallas Mavericks' Jason Kidd, he received the NBA Rookie of the Year honors. Also, he named as Sporting News' Rookie of the Year Award, 1997 all-NBA First Team, and four-time all-NBA Second Team.
Upon leaving the Pistons, Hill became an unrestricted free agent and signed a contract with the Orlando Magic in a trade deal on August 3, 2000. His stint with the Magic prevented him to play due to injuries.
In 2007, Hill moved to Phoenix Suns as he appeared in 82 games with the team. He led the Suns advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals and make it to the Finals in 2010, but lost against Los Angeles Lakers.
When Hill's contract with the Suns expired, he pursue to sign a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012. After 19 seasons in the NBA, he announced his retirement on June 1, 2013.
Aside from playing in NBA, Hill also participated in the Olympics as Team USA won gold medal during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Grant Henry Hill was born on October 5, 1972 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Duke University with a double degree in history and political science. On July 24, 1999, he got married to singer Tamia and has two children.
