A retired professional basketball player, Dominique Wilkins is known for his successful years with the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association. Popular for his nickname "The Human Highlight Film", Dominique Wilkins is an inductee to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Wilkins officially joined the NBA when he was selected by the Utah Jazz as its third overall pick in the first round of the 1982 NBA Draft. Throughout his entire professional basketball career, Dominique Wilkins has also played for other franchises which include the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic. In between, he has also played for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basketball League and Fortitudo Bologna of Basketball League A Series, the highest Professional Basketball Competition in Italy.
