A retired professional basketball player, Anfernee Penny Hardaway played for the NBA from 1993-2007 as point guard. While he was attending the Memphis State University, Penny was selected as the third overall pick in the first round of the 1993 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors.
Not long after, together with the other 3 first round picks, Hardaway was traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Chris Webber. Before the 1999-2000 season has even started, Hardaway made a deal with the Phoenix Suns. From 2004-2006, he played for the New York Knicks. Before his retirement, Hardaway played for the Miami Heat where he was reunited to former teammate, Shaquille O'Neal.
