Aaron Brooks led his school, Franklin High School to win the Washington 4A State Championship. In college, he played for the University of Oregon's basketball team. He was recognized as McDonald's All-American in 2003, and first team All-Pac 10 in 2007.
His NBA career started when he was chosen by the Houston Rockets during the NBA Draft in 2007. He was named Most Improved Player in 2010.
In 2011, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns and a year later, he transferred to Sacramento Kings. Brooks returned to the Rockets in 2013 and eventually traded again, this time for the Denver Nuggets on February 20, 2014.
Aside from playing for NBA, he also signed to play for the China's Guangdong Southern Tigers during the NBA lockout in 2011.
