Nadia Elena Comaneci is perhaps one of the most popular gymnasts in the world, has an estimated net worth of $10 million. She was the first female gymnast who got a perfect score of 10 in a gymnastics event in Olympics. She won three gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics held at Montreal. Also, she won two gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow. Furthermore, she was named by the Laureus World Sports Academy in 2000 as one of the athletes of the century.

At the age of 7, she began her extensive training with the famous gymnastics coach and trainer, Bela Karolyi and his wife Marta. Karolyi is known for his verbally and psychologically abusive character yet he was able to produce successful and world renowned gymnasts.

She was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame and she was the youngest recipient of the Olympic Order, the highest form of award given by the International Olympic Committee. She received the award in 1984 and 2004 making her the only athlete to receive this recognition twice.
