Sergio Perez  is a Mexican racer who currently drives for McLaren. Until 2012, he was a part of the Ferrari Academy, joining McLaren for the 2013 season. He will be racing along with Jenson Button. In addition to being a Formula One racer, Perez is also known to be active philanthropist. He recently launched the Checo Pérez Foundation which seeks to help children with cancer, as well as orphans.

Sergio Perez Mendoza was born on January 26, 1990 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Prior to his current F1 career, Perex competed in Formula One BMW, A1 Grand Prix, Formula Three, and GP2 Series.

The fifth Mexican to have competed in the Formula One, Perez made his F1 debut with Sauber. He raced for the team until the 2012 season. In 2013, he joined McLaren as a replacement for Lewis Hamilton, who announced he would be leaving the team for Mercedes in the 2013 season.
