Hailed as the most successful rally driver in the history of World Rally Championship, Sebastian Loeb was a nine-time world champion in a row. He also holds other WRC records which include most podium finishes, most wins and most points.

Sebastian Loeb is also a three-time winner of the Race of Champions, and in 2003, 2005 and 2008, he won the "Champion of Champions” title. Together with Jean Alesi, Loeb won the Nations' Cup for France in 2004. In 2007 and 2009, he was hailed as the French Sportsman of the Year and in 2009, he became a Legion of Honour (Légion d'honneur) knight.

Currently residing near Lausanne, Switzerland, Sebastian Loeb is married to Severine, who sometimes Daniel Elena as his co-driver for some non-championship races. The couple has a daughter named Valentine.
